In Matthew chapter 16, Jesus asks his disciples, “Who do men say that the Son of Man is?”

They reply: “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”

Then Jesus presses them, “Who do you say that I am?”

The disciples tried to dodge the question, responding with what other people are saying about Jesus. And our world today does the same, calling Jesus a good teacher or a good man in the wrong place at the wrong time. Some even dismiss Him as a myth or a legend. But the Lord is asking us for our answer.

Who do you say that I am? Not what academia entertainment, culture, or politics have to say, you. It is your choice and your Holy Spirit inspired answer.

What do you say?
